One-to-one counselling with qualified practitioners

Our approach

  • Individual counselling

One-to-one, in-person (or remote) appointments with a qualified practitioner.

  • Initial appointment

We build genuine trust, making an assessment of barriers and a plan to address them.

  • A safe space to talk

Common barriers have included anxiety, depression and anger management.

  • Methods of practice

Our method of practice is informed by presenting symptoms, but may include:

    • Cognitive behavioural therapy
    • Psychodynamic psychotherapy
    • Person-centered therapy
    • Art therapy
  • Methods of practice continued

Our method of practice is informed by presenting symptoms, but may include:

    • Solution-focused brief therapy
    • Narrative therapy
    • Acceptance and commitment therapy
    • Compassion-focused therapy
  • Supported signposting

If we can’t fully support we will refer to someone who can, including letters of recommendation and engagement with specialist services on a case by case basis.

  • How long (and how many) sessions?

A typical session will last up to 60 minutes. Volume of sessions will vary based on barriers and needs, but typically up to 6 sessions.

  • Is it in person?

We prefer to meet participants face to face – in real life – but can arrange Telehealth sessions to start with, if that works best.

  • Who is this for?

We support everyone, especially those that want something to change for themselves, but don’t know how to achieve it… yet.
